This skirt would be perfect for any great earth goddess ;)
Nikki is modeling this skirt. She is a true goddess: charismatic and strong yet gentle, loving, feminine and an amazing belly dancer!
Info about the makings of this one-of-a-kind skirt:
Influenced by African and Australian tribal drawings, I drew this free-hand. The front has a tree spirit. The back has tribal marks and line drawings. Scattered along the bottom front, I embroidered small pebbles which I gathered on the Mediterranean Sea coast. On the bottom hem, I sewed on antique cotton lace.
The skirt originally was a new, rather drab piece of clothing which was crying out for a face-lift.
I washed the skirt after all that handling & painting.. I strongly recommend machine washing gentle cycle or hand-washing if you want the garment and colors to last.
Fabric: 100% Ramie (a natural fiber very similar to linen and to cotton) fully lined in polyester.
Fits size medium-large. Waist (or where ever you want the skirt to sit): 34 inches (86cm) Hips: fits loosely up to 46 inches (120cm)
There is an invisible zipper on the side and two narrow ties which can be secured in front, in back or used for dancing as Nikki did for the photo shoot.
